I would say the five things that makes a therapist a good therapist would be: having a common interest to bond over to make the person feel comfortable, make you feel confident that you are going over come the obstacle you came in for, give you an alternative unbiased perspective on things, help you come to terms with what’s happened and accept it, and how to get to where you want to be.
